Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) is Indiana’s low-cost health insurance program for adults. You must go without health insurance for 6 months or more and can’t have access to an employee sponsored health plan. Parents of children on Hoosier Healthwise are likely candidates for HIP. HIP offers full health benefits including: doctor visits, prescriptions, mental health and more!

Hoosier Healthwise for Pregnancy-Hoosier Healthwise will cover pregnant women up to 200% FPL. If you are pregnant the following services will be covered:  prenatal care, the birth of your baby and the post- partum visit.

Presumptive Eligibility- Presumptive Eligibility (PE) will allow a pregnant woman to receive a temporary Medicaid number at the time of the PE application. This will cover prenatal care only! The temporary Medicaid number is only good while your Hoosier Healthwise application is processing.  A Hoosier Healthwise application will be completed at the time a PE application is taken.
